Design/Build

UNITY ELECTRIC has an “in house” Design Department and self performs design and engineering for our design and build projects. This provides the capability to fast track design changes and cost estimates.

Our engineering team interacts with the project team and provides pre-construction and construction support to the Design/Build electrical estimating staff and management by delivering on-demand, real-time consulting as required to analyze cost impacts of changes, and problem solve in the event of constructability issues. Daily ad-hoc meetings are the norm to provide prompt responses to customer requests.

Design/Build project history includes over 300 healthcare projects, including acute care hospitals, skilled nursing projects and licensed assisted/independent living facilities designed and engineered by UNITY which have been permitted through local and state agencies.

Our electrical engineering services include coordination with the architect, owner, general contractor and other consultants during concept studies and throughout the design process, preparation of electrical design and calculations, preparation of electrical working drawings and specifications required for AHJ approvals and permits.

UNITY has been providing design/build services for over forty years, giving us the ability to deliver a quality product on time and at the best possible value. UNITY will work with the architect and contractor to develop the most cost responsible approach to satisfy the functional, aesthetic and qualitative objectives of the owner.
