PROJECT MANAGER
Unity Electric,an established Puget Sound Electrical Contractor, has immediate openings for top quality Project Managers for mid-to-high rise mixed use projects in the downtown and south Seattle areas. The successful candidates will have 15 or more years of electrical new construction experience, and 3-5 years of project management experience in this project type. In addition, the position requires strong computer skills, with an emphasis on correspondence and spreadsheets, estimating and manpower scheduling skills, strong documentation skills, and good leadership skills. Strong organizational, written and verbal communication skills are essential. JOB DESCRIPTION
Duties include, but are not limited to:
Meet with supervisory personnel, owners, contractors, and design professionals to resolve matters such as work procedures, complaints, and construction methods and strategies to meet team objectives.
Plan, organize, and direct activities concerned with the construction and maintenance of structures, facilities, and systems as they relate to electrical systems.
Schedule project material and labor resources in logical steps and budget time required to meet deadlines using scheduling software.
Determine labor requirements and dispatch workers to construction sites.
Inspect and review projects to monitor compliance with project budgets and schedules, quality controls, design intent, building and safety codes, and other regulations.
Interpret and explain plans and contract terms to administrative staff, workers, and clients, representing the owner or developer.
Prepare sub-contracts and negotiate revisions, changes and additions to contractual agreements.
Obtain all necessary permits and licenses.
Direct project supervisors and supervise workers as required.
Study project plans, specifications and other documents to determine appropriate construction methods, materials and schedules.
Monitor and enforce all company policies and procedures.
